What I'm Watching Right Now
Almost my sixth day in Boston at my sister's, and not as cold as I was lead to expect. A bit chilly at times, but nothing a sweater can't fix. The only thing that really bothered me at first was the dryness of the air: not good at all for my sinuses (thank God for saline sprays and Grossan irrigation doohickeys).
The eldest of my three nieces likes anime as I do (maybe I'm partly to blame), and we've been watching Naruto, Love Hina, and Ah! My Goddess!. I must say I didn't expect to like the last two as much as I did (I'm rather shocked about it), especially Ah! My Goddess!. (Is it here where I should insert "Yeah, I'm a Romantic and a little boy at heart, so sue me"?) Brought her a few other anime DVDs she hasn't seen yet, so she'll be busy for at least a week or two after I get back home. The youngest one and the one in the middle are enjoying the PC games I brought, although that means having to play with them as well (not that I mind, though I get dizzy trying to constantly spread my attention among them all).
It's a nice place but, like during my stay in Florida a few years ago, you can't "get anywhere" unless you have a car. I don't mind being indoors since it's been eight months since I last saw my nieces and played with them, but I have to wait until the weekend to actually go out with the whole family. I'm really not interested in walking around the neighborhood during these chilly, rainy days and make the neighbors nervous at the sight of a stranger walking down their streets (and a pesky Puerto Rican to boot!). Anyway, I came here to visit my sister and her family, not to tour the city. I'm quite content with that.
